The Journey Home
The feeling of travelling for a month feels like a blur. Being away from my family and friends made me miss them even more, but I had an epic time traveling throughout parts of Europe learning about different cultures, cuisines, and history. This journey has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, and the experience was priceless. As I head back across the pond I thought to myself where I wanted to go next on my big trip? I recommend taking the leap to travel to a place where you never gone before. I believe you will learn more about yourself and other people. Although I do not like to fly, if I let this fear conquer me I would never be able to discover the world. Therefore I challenge you to take the leap and discover the world because there is so much to see and learn. If you would like to see more photos or have any questions about my trip please leave a comment or reach me at my email at mcclendon_lee@yahoo.com. See you back in the homeland!

Paris round two
Welcome mates to day two in Paris! First off I must recommend when traveling to Paris to at least plan for five days because there are so many things to see and do here. Our day began with us going on a free walking tour in Paris from Sandman's Company. There were a lot of people attending this tour; there were so many people the company had to turn some people away, but luckily we got there early to get our tickets. In our tour we learned about the history and the historical sites around Paris. During our tour we visited numerous places like Notre Dame de Paris, Napoleon Tomb, Opera Garnier, and of course the infamous The Louvre. To see all these locations was remarkable, and I learned a lot how Paris became Paris. After our three hour walking tour we got a bite to eat at a local pub. I got turkey with salad, and french fries, and of course it went good along with a blonde beer. As we finished we met some people on our tour who were from California, and we decided to check out the Eiffel Tower before our next tour later in the day. Once we arrived at the Eiffel Tower I was astonished to see the beautiful building in person. After seeing the Eiffel Tower in films and famous painting I got the chance to see this historical site in person, and I took some remarkable photos. We had to quickly leave to make sure made it in time for our next tour. In our next tour we explored the Montmartre District which is in a unique part of the city in Paris. We discovered the house where Vincent Van Gogh lived, the location of Pablo Picasso, and the hill where we were able to see the whole city of Paris. Something about this city is people get inspired and become famous, it is like the American version of New York City. After our tour we got some ice cream to watch the light show of the Eiffel tour from the distance. At this moment after walking around the city and discovering new facts while watching the light show, I could see why Paris is called the city of love. The food and the historical sites give the city a unique experience, and just don't take my word go for yourself and you shall experience the city of love. Now mates after fun remarkable day and night it is time for some sleep, because tomorrow I am heading off to Brussels, Belgium.

Day two of Dublin
G'day Mates! After a lovely first day in Dublin, the second day was even better. The day started off with me only having three hours of sleep because my friend Sophia and I decided to go on a bus tour to Galway, Ireland. We left early in the morning at 7:10 a.m. and arrived at MacCoole Tours for our journey of the day. On this bus tour we visited a traditional Irish farm that has been with the family for 300 years, and we were guided to Burren Mountain Walk. We were astonished of the views we saw from the bus ride and walking around the different towns. In one stop we tried a real Irish coffee made with Jameson Whiskey, and it was yummy. Shortly afterwards we visited a Medieval Irish Castle called Dunguaire. It is amazing to see a building that lasted so long; I imagined what it would be like to live in the past. As we got on the bus the bus driver played Irish music, it was the perfect setting for an Irish tour. For our last stop we walked about Galway City to check out the shops and attractions, then shortly afterwards we headed back to Dublin. I must say these tours are a great way to kick off this journey, but I must get some sleep because I probably had six hours of sleep in three days. In my next blog I'll talk about my last day in Ireland and my first night in London, England. See you soon!

Across the Pond
G’day mates! Welcome to an exciting adventure ahead for the next month. My friend Sophia and I will be discovering new countries, cuisines, and cultures. For Day 1 of our trip we started in Chicago flying out of O’Hare International Airport. Before we departed we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Great American Bagel. I got a turkey sandwich served on a cinnamon raisin bagel. It sounds a bit odd, but the flavors marinated well with one another. I recommend trying this sandwich because these bagels are amazing! Our first flight was a short trip with a layover in Charleston, South Carolina which was smooth and super-fast flight. After a two hour flight we got a little hungry again so we decided to eat at this restaurant called Carolina Barbecue. I must say I recommend the food here because they had one of the best barbecue sauces I have tried thus far. I got a beef brisket with macaroni and cheese and green beans. I was full after this meal. Shortly afterwards it was time for us to board our next flight to Dublin. In my next blog I will talk about my day 1 in Dublin. I am super excited until then I’ll catch you across the pond.

Ahoy Mates!
Here goes my first blog! I’m excited to start something new that gives me the opportunity to show the everyday life of a student at Moraine Park Technical College. I’m in the Culinary Arts Program and throughout my blogs I will try my best to keep you updated with all the fun exciting things at school and out of the classroom activities.
Some more random facts about me are I am a true Bears fan. That is right, I am not afraid to say or show it. I love sports from soccer to snowboarding; there isn’t a sport that I don’t care for. If you forgot already I love to travel with a passion (check out my bio in the about me tab), I wish one day I could find a sponsor to help with my goal to travel around the world. I also have a huge passion for cooking and love to try new cuisines.
Well mates here’s round one of my blog. I hope you enjoyed it and the many more to come!
Bon Voyage!
Lee IV
